The National Hindu Students’ Forum (NHSF)UK)) has always taught values and principles to protect, preserve, practice and promote Hindu Dharma. This is achieved by national and local events where NHSF (UK) universities strive to uphold their Dharma whilst they are at University. A prime example of this is the Central Zone Bhakti event, where 13 NHSF (UK) universities unite with the samaj to hold a spiritual event for students and the local community to enjoy.
In its firth year running, NHSF (UK) Central Zone offer another priceless opportunity to reach a spiritual platform with this year’s 12 hour Ram Dhun to honour and receive blessings from Hanuman Ji, often considered the most devout devotee of Ram Bhagwan.
Saturday 2nd March 2013
8am – 9pm
Shree Geeta Bhawan Mandir, 107-117 Heathfield Road, Birmingham, B19 1HL.
The ever-auspicious Ganesh Puja will be first conducted, followed by 12 non-stop hours of Ram Dhun. Bhojan Prashad will be available throughout and there will be a variety of activities for attendees to take part in, including sewa activities such as bringing tinned food for donation to a local homeless shelter, taking part in learning activities of the Ramayana and celebrating Swami Vivekananda’s 150th birth anniversary. There will also be a ‘kids’ corner, catered for younger devotees who’d like to learn more about Hindu Dharma through games and quizzes.
This event is set to surpass last year’s 20 hour Ram Dhun, which was a huge success in celebration of the 20th anniversary of NHSF (UK). The Ram Dhun 2013 will be a great opportunity to learn more about how we as the Hindu samaj, can make a difference in our own lives as well as others. With so many different elements to the day NHSF (UK) Ram Dhun 2013 is definitely not an event to be missed!
