On Sunday 21st June 2015, individuals from 175 nations across the globe will be participating in International Yoga Day.

Yoga is an ancient practice originating in India, which aims to transform both the body and the mind. As our Indian Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi stated “Yoga is an invaluable gift from India’s ancient tradition.  It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfilment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and nature”.

On this day there will be free yoga sessions in parks and schools across the UK. The fun-filled day has something to offer for everyone – whether you are regularly practising yoga and want to meet more people with the same interests, or whether you know nothing about yoga but are intrigued to find out more…don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn, to be healthy, to be happy and to have fun!
