Sewa Day is a registered charity and every year good-hearted people from across the world immerse themselves in selfless service. The project aims to show and inspire everyone involved what a huge impact regular Sewa (“selfless service”) can have on our planet, as well as the many different forms that Sewa can take.

Over the years, NHSF (UK) Chapters have created and joined some award winning projects. Our Chapters have a fantastic variety of initiatives planned for the big day including cleaning Mandirs, conservation work and serving food in homeless shelters.

It is not too late to get involved in a project! All you need to do is contact your local Chapter or visit the Sewa Day website to check out the amazing projects that are happening near you, and get stuck in!

Once you have taken part in Sewa Day, we hope that you are inspired to make Sewa a part of your daily life as there are many opportunities to do Sewa all around us. After all, every day can be Sewa day!

“I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy.” Rabindranath Tagore
