Firstly, we would like to thank NHSF on behalf of the Rickshawalas for all their hospitality and assistance at the Arise Arjuna event. It was a great day for all of us, where we all learnt about the work NHSF carries out and the importance of Sewa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

CAREducation Trust UK (CARE) was founded by a group of individuals in 1997 with the objective of involving themselves at the grassroots level to better the lives of underprivileged children through education.<\/p>\n

The CARE Youth Team was set up by passionate young individuals who want to ensure the future of the fantastic work that CARE has achieved so far. Each team member understands their Duty and Dharma<\/strong> to give selflessly, whether it being by organising fundraising events, creating awareness or even visiting the centres to teach the children themselves. Sewa, Unity, Universality and Equality are all key values the Rickshawalas operate on.<\/p>\n

What is the Rickshaw Run?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Rickshawalas<\/a><\/p>\n

The Rickshaw Run is CARE Youth\u2019s latest and most ambitious project to date. We will be driving Rickshaws ourselves from Gujarat, through the deserts of Rajasthan, the lush farmlands of Punjab and up the steep inclines of the Himalayas to Manali. This is an 1800km adventure that promises to be an experience of a lifetime! The Rickshaw is one of the most robust, jagged edge and popular forms of transport in India and by travelling in this way, not only will we be able to experience the culture of India, but also see India for what it really is. The Rickshawalas are not your average youngsters, they are a bunch of thrill-seeking adrenalin junkies who want to help those less fortunate than us in a unique and exciting way!<\/p>\n

It is a chance for us to see the difference CARE has made to lives of thousands of children, who otherwise may not have had this opportunity for a better future. Along our route we will be visiting various Sikh Gurudwaras, Jain Derasars and Hindu temples, staying in dharamshalas and ashrams, allowing us to experience the diverse range of cultures and religions within India.<\/p>\n

Alongside raising funds to enhance the educational and medical facilities available for some of the most deprived children in India, the Rickshawalas are going to film a full HD documentary of their trip to be broadcasted on National TV.<\/p>\n
