The revamped September committee\u2019s day will bring together over 250 students from more than 37 universities who have been trusted with the responsibility of leading and supporting fellow students.<\/p>\n<p>Read more about the workshops and speakers.<\/p>\n<p>Book your place today by completing the online registration forms.<\/p>\n<p>This event is open to NHSF university chapter committee members only.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>WORKSHOPS<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><b>1) Public Speaking \u2013 Alpesh Patel <i>(Guest speaker)<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Alpesh Patel for three years presented a show on Bloomberg tv and presented newsbytes for Sky. He has delivered speeches from Guatemala to Beijing. He trained as a Barrister and was the shyest boy at school! NHSF (UK) is now honoured to host this speaker who will share his thoughts with you on how to enhance and develop your Public Speaking skills.<\/p>\n<p><b>2) Integrity, Leadership and Communication \u2013 Shaunak Upadhay <i>(Guest speaker)<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>The success of your Hindu Society is underpinned by yours as an individual and as an entrusted committee member. This session will be focused on the development of individuals, and therefore collectively your Hindu society. It will cover various success factors like emotional maturity, integrity, ethical leadership and communication.<\/p>\n<p><b>3) Hindu Management System, Teamwork \u2013 Ram Vaidya <i>(Guest speaker)<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>All organisations have a management system which provides a formal methodology for working effectively and efficiently. We already know about the western concept of management but there is also an alternative \u2013 the Hindu management system which uses the role model of a family. This is very important to know and understand as we are a human organisation dealing with people all of whom are unpaid volunteers.<\/p>\n<p><b>4) The Art of Effective Communication \u2013 Jay Bharadia <i>(Guest speaker)<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>In today&#8217;s world, barely a moment goes by without the need for communication. It affects almost everything &#8211; relationships, work, education, health, and even our entertainment. So poor communication can be very costly! Communicating effectively will help you be heard, make an influence, gain credibility and ultimately get the job done. It&#8217;s a game-changer!<\/p>\n<p><b>5) Top Tips on writing a Powerful Article \u2013 Pranav Bhanot<\/b><\/p>\n<p>With at least one event a week at every NHSF chapter &#8211; writing articles must be second nature to each one of us. As leaders it is our responsibility to inspire others by informing them of the outstanding activities and events taking place on campus each week. Learn the ABC of article writing with case studies to make this a truly practical and hands on experience.<\/p>\n<p><b>6) Future Speakers Programme \u2013 Avnish Thakrar<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Have you ever wanted to develop yourself to be able to address large audiences? <\/strong>NHSF (UK) Schools Team has set up a Future Speakers Programme for <strong>you<\/strong> to develop <strong>your <\/strong>public speaking. The programme will make <strong>transform <\/strong>you and give you the <strong>confidence <\/strong>to attend a local school (predominately primary schools) and confidently deliver a <strong>prepared <\/strong>presentation about a Hindu Festival. Not only is this a fantastic opportunity to gain new skills but also looks great on CVs and is an excellent way to get valuable teaching experience for anyone interested in pursuing a career in teaching.<\/p>\n<p><b>7) NHS what?! \u2013 Prinal Nathwani<\/b><\/p>\n<p>When someone asks you \u201cWhat is NHSF?\u201d \u2013 What will you respond with? How does your chapter fit into the frame? So, \u201cwhy should I join Hindu Society?\u201d Get to know the basics to enable you to sell your chapter best at your fresher\u2019s fayre.<\/p>\n<p><b>8) 5 simple Learning Events to Plan \u2013 Hetan Ajwani<\/b><\/p>\n<p>5 \u2018must have\u2019 learning events at you chapter that promise to engage, inspire and not bore your members \u2013 all 5 events made simple and straight forward to organise. That\u2019s a lot of chapter learning off your shoulder!<\/p>\n<p><b>9) Chapter Planning: \u2018Your Guide To Success\u2019 \u2013 Kartik Bharadia<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Its often said fail to plan, and you plan to fail. A good plan can never be overstated \u2013 in the case of your university Hindu society \u2013 the lack of preparation will certainly make the difference between success and failure. From vision setting, affiliation, events calendar to learning matters: much hinges on accuracy and delivery. The speaker in this workshop will walk you will through every aspect chapter planning that you should consider as well as how to turn your paper plan into success.<\/p>\n<p><b>10) Project Management: \u2018Managing a Project\u2019 \u2013 Chirag Patel <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Planning an event can be handful \u2013 with your academic and social spheres to balance with committee responsibilities, a well thought out plan can go a long way. Working on a committee means any plan involves more than one person.
