As a new year begins, the National Hindu Students\u2019 Forum (UK) \u201cNHSF (UK)\u201d continues its journey and celebrates a monumental 25 years. We are zealously preparing our first event of the year, June Committees\u2019 Day (JCD), bringing together the National Committee and 47 Chapters across the country all under one roof! The event provides the opportunity for committees to take part in several workshops, which are designed to engage, network and inspire committee members for the year to come and to further enhance their skills. This day is aimed solely for our committee members.
\nNHSF (UK) will be welcoming over 200 students on Saturday 18th June 2016 at The University of Nottingham. For many of our students, this will be first time they will experience what the organisation offers, as well as learning more about the exciting events and opportunities the National and Chapter Committees are organising throughout the year. It also allows Chapters to share resources, information and ideas.
\nThe morning will start with a welcome brief, which is then followed by role breakouts. This will not only allow committee members to understand their role better, but also provide them with the chance to get the best tips from their fellow peers. The various workshops are designed to develop skills and ideas from various different sessions, but most importantly, understand what NHSF (UK) is. The afternoon session will allow committee members to meet their zonal team and nearby Chapters and discussions will take place on what each individual Chapter\u2019s needs are. Following feedback from previous years, the day has been thoughtfully developed and tailored for committee members to engage in an inspiring experience.
\nThis day will mark the growth and beginning of a new era for NHSF (UK) as we enter the 25th year and celebrate \u201c25: Bearing the Flame of Hindu Dharma.\u201d We cannot wait to kick start \u201825\u2019 with Chapter and National Committee members all under one roof \u2013 there is a lot to rejoice, reminisce and look forward to, so let the celebrations begin at JCD!
