Between 11-13 September 2015, NHSF (UK) was proud to support the World Hindu Economic Forum London 2015, the fourth of its kind, at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel. Coming to London with a focus to empower youth economically, this was a once in a lifetime opportunity to network with some of the most powerful and influential Hindu businessmen, economists, entrepreneurs and personalities in the world. The conference traveled to London after successful ventures in Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Delhi with the last conference attracting an audience with the Dalai Lama, Mohanraoji Bhagwat (Head of RSS), esteemed members of the Indian parliament and delegates of the highest caliber from 50 different countries.
The purpose of the conference was to generate and spread surplus wealth to make society prosperous – a vision very much in tune with that of NHSF (UK) that hopes to one day see a prosperous and harmonious world based on Dharma. Two mantras that have helped to shape the philosophy of this congregation are “Sat Hasta Samahara, Sahastra Hasta Sankira” that translates to “generate wealth with a 100 hands and share it with 1000 hands” and “Vasudeva Kutumbakam”, i.e. that the world is one family. Many see WHEF as a step towards ending poverty, hunger and illiteracy globally.
