NATIONAL DONATION MONTH
The South Asian community in the UK is severely underrepresented when it comes to blood and organ donors in the UK. National Donation Month (NDM) was launched with a vision to spread the awareness of blood, organ and stem cell donation and allow better, more informed choices to be made when deciding whether or not to become a donor and how to do so safely.
With speakers travelling to universities, resource sharing over social media channels, and members from National Committee speaking about NDM on radio stations, the campaign successfully raised awareness about the spirit of tyaag (sacrifice) and the gift of donation.
