BAPS NEASDEN

Construction on the Neasden Bochansanwasi Aksharpurushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) Swaminarayan Mandir begins. The Mandir and adjoining Haveli were funded entirely by the Hindu community from the area and across the UK.

The Mandir was completed in 1995, making it the largest Hindu temple outside of India at the time. BAPS also went on to establish the first Hindu private school in the UK.
