CASTE LEGISLATION

Following a large grassroots campaign by the Hindu community in the UK, the government repeals the motion to enact ‘caste’ as an aspect of race within the 2010 Equalities Act. Over 16000 responses are collected through the community consultation, and the Hindu community stands together to ensure that laws which introduce the classification of caste cannot be used to divide future generations.
