ROAD TO BHAKTIVEDANTA MANOR

Over 37000 Hindus from across the UK gather in London on the 16th March to peacefully protest against the decision to close ISKCON’s Bhaktivedanta Manor near Watford, due to complaints by the villagers of Letchmore Heath about the amount of traffic in the area. This is the culmination of a ten-year campaign, which had included lobbying local MPs to assert the rights of Hindus to worship at the ISKCON Mandir. In 1996, the Government finally gives permission for a new road to be built, allowing Hindus to visit the mandir once more.
