Project Name:

Chapter resources – To engineer a system where NHSF (UK) online resources are always up to date whilst ensuring that the resources are easy to find and accessible.

Project Mentor:

Kiran Patel

Project background:

Being such a large organisation, resources are being used all the time, some of which may be duplicated, others which may be completely new. Each team has a range of resources which often gets updated but not always archived; therefore it would be better to have a structure which enables resources to be easily updated when required.

Project description:

This project has been designed in order to create a system to ensure that resources can be kept up to date and accessed with ease. The project is broken down into two parts:

1. To look at current resources and content, and update as necessary – there are many resources available from each team. Before the project can be complete, one must have all up-to-date resources which are currently available.

2. Consider a mechanism to ensure resources and content are updated in the future – to continue the sustainability, establishing a simplistic way to continue the legacy of continuous content upload is critical, consequently simple navigation must be considered.

Resources needed:

· Laptop with internet connection

· Mobile phone for conference calls

· Organisation skills

· Communication skills

· Planning & preparation

· Ability to work as part of a team

Sustainability of the project:

Once the project is complete, the construction will allow the organisation to function smoothly allowing chapters to access resources and allow national committee teams to be able to update the resources as and when required. Working as part of a team will be integral in order to sustain and create a legacy for the project, therefore web and design team will play a major part in a supporting role for the project for continuation of resources being up-to-date and readily available on the NHSF (UK) website.
