Ekatva is an experiment to touch the lives and spirits of 16 underprivileged children from India, through the mediums of dance, music, performance and most importantly, love. On this journey, we hope to spread seeds of goodness and compassion throughout the world. After one year of training and development, the children are gearing up to tour the show across India, the US, and the UK between now and July 2012.

Sixteen children from some of the largest slums of Ahmedabad, Gujarat were selected through a nine month audition process, and are being trained and developed, by two mentors from Manav Sadhna and teachers from Darpana Academy, to perform a 90-minute dance-drama production sharing Gandhi’s message of ‘Oneness’. For a quick glimpse at this incredible production, take 3 minutes to watch this video about the inspiring Ekatva Journey.

The UK tour is being planned between June 18th and July 3rd with performances in London, Leicester and Birmingham. As you can imagine, there are many different costs involved with bringing an entirely volunteer-run production to the UK including flights, visas, accomodation, transport, meals, venue hire, etc. We are ever so grateful for your generous contributions in helping to support these costs, which will enable the show to touch thousands of lives throughout the UK.

Please remember to tick the “Gift Aid” box when you donate, if you are a UK-taxpayer, so that 28% can be reclaimed on your behalf!

Note: Donations for the Ekatva UK Tour are being processed through Connect India, a UK regsitered charity, and will all directly support the tour and the children.
